In response to the devastating earthquake in Colombia, Acme Hospitality’s sister restaurants are coming together to support the communities affected by the disaster and honor Chef Cristian Granada’s home country. From August 17th, through Monday, September 7, 2026, Loquita in Santa Barbara will feature : PAELLA DE POSTA: paella with a purpose; wagyu beef cheek with panela glaze, wood-fired okra, bomba rice, sofrito, cider-pickled pearl onions and roasted garlic aioli.
This special dish brings together California’s Spanish roots and the vibrant flavors of Colombia in service of something greater than the plate itself.
For every Paella de Posta sold, $10 will be donated to World Central Kitchen to support earthquake-relief efforts and help provide meals and assistance to communities in need. Pricing for the paella is $65 and serves 2-4 guests.
Through food, they hope to bring our community together in support of another—one paella at a time.
“The support from Loquita, Picala, and the entire Acme Hospitality family means so much to me. Seeing the devastation caused by the earthquake, especially in my hometown and the surrounding region, has been incredibly difficult. Colombia is home, so having Chef Luis and the Picala teams join us in offering Paella de Posto to support the relief effort is especially meaningful. It’s a beautiful reminder of how food can bring people together and give back when it matters most. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone supporting this effort.” – Executive Chef, Cristian Granada
