At the Saturday Fisherman’s Market, fishermen sell directly to the public at City Pier every Saturday morning from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m., year-round. Find the perfect catch then take it to the fillet booth and let the experts get it ready to take home in no time. Come find locally caught seafood at the Santa Barbara Harbor, from rockfish, sea bass, black cod, and halibut to abalone, mussels, ridgeback shrimp, a variety of crab, and lobster, depending on the season.

Which Founding Father likes to chill in La Arcada? Is the County Courthouse truly the “grandest Spanish Colonial Revival structure ever built”? Find out on this scavenger hunt of Santa Barbara!

Shark Sundays

When: January 4, 2026 at 11:30 A.M. - 11:45 A.M.
Where: Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History Sea Center | 211 Stearns Wharf Santa Barbara, CA 93101


Learn about shark biology from experts as they make sure the animals in Shark Cove at the Sea Center are healthy and satisfied. Enjoy a 15-minute interpretive talk by a naturalist while an aquarist feeds the sharks, followed by Q&A.


Please note that touching the sharks is not permitted until 12:05, so they can settle after their meal. If you want to feed and touch sharks during the same visit, circle back to Shark Cove after exploring the rest of the Sea Center’s exhibits.
