Keep the party going in the new year! Join Carr Winery for a fabulously fun night on Friday with DJ Claire Z!

Spinning funky beats, Claire Z brings the perfect soundtrack for a your perfect start to the weekend. Sip your favorite Carr wine, snack on empanadas delivered right to the Winery, and let the rhythm take over.

Weekends are worth celebrating! On Saturdays and Sundays, enjoy $28 bottomless mimosas with savory and sweet options from Chef’s delicious brunch menu.

Explore Ecology Makerspace

Join the Explore Ecology Makerspace for a Junk Journaling Workshop, where reclaimed and recycled materials become art. Bring your own journal and they’ll provide a treasure trove of upcycled papers, fabric scraps, vintage ephemera, and more. They’ll introduce inspiring junk journaling techniques and the rest is up to your imagination!

Music Academy of the West | Hahn Hall

Yoga Soup

Based on The Artist’s Way: A Spiritual Path to Higher Creativity, this eight-week course offers a transformative journey designed to rekindle creative flow, inspiration, and personal fulfillment. Whether or not you see yourself as “creative,” this process helps you reconnect with your innate curiosity and sense of wonder.

Through simple yet powerful practices—like daily Morning Pages, weekly Artist Dates, and gentle reflective exercises—you’ll begin clearing self-doubt, quieting inner blocks, and rediscovering what makes you feel most alive. Weekly gatherings provide inspiration, accountability, and a supportive space to move through the book together, with guided readings, journaling, and creative explorations that encourage playfulness and honest self-reflection.

Workzones Santa Barbara

Work From Here is a recurring coworking and collaboration day held on the second Tuesday of each month. Participants are invited to spend the day working alongside fellow professionals in a supportive environment and take part in a mid-morning collaboration session.

Coworking (8 AM – 5 PM): An open, focused workspace for professionals, freelancers, and entrepreneurs.

Collaboration Hour (10:30 – 11:30 AM): A chance to share ideas, exchange feedback, and connect with others.

An annual membership ($50) provides access to all monthly events plus 15% off additional services and spaces. First-time attendees receive complimentary admission.

Explore Ecology Makerspace

On the 2nd Wednesday of the month, you’re invited to join the Explore Ecology Makerspace with your sewing ideas, projects, or mending needs. This Makerspace is equipped with nine sewing machines and a wide array of materials to fuel your creativity. Plus, their knowledgeable staff is always on hand to offer guidance, tips, and tricks to help you bring your vision to reality.

From crafting personalized garments to reviving old favorites through expert mending techniques, there’s no limit to what you can achieve.

Discover local creativity at the Gallery Row Art Walk happening every third Friday of the month. The event features interactive activities, live music, and a variety of exhibitions across the La Cumbre Center of Creative Arts galleries. Visitors can meet artists, enjoy refreshments, and experience art in many forms—perfect for all ages.

Celebrate Underwater Parks Day with all-day free admission to the Sea Center on Stearns Wharf! Underwater Parks Day celebrates marine protected areas (MPAs), the underwater parks that promote sustainable fishing practices and responsible recreation to preserve the variety, abundance, and longevity of ocean life for future generations.

The Central Coast is home to some of the most nutrient-rich waters on the planet, supporting vibrant marine life in kelp forests, tide pools, and rocky intertidal reef habitats. Enjoy the Sea Center’s interactive exhibits representing these habitats. Take part in fun activities for all ages.

The Gift: New Additions to Our Story highlights recent acquisitions to the Santa Barbara Historical Museum’s permanent collection, showcasing how the region’s history continues to grow through community generosity. Since its founding in 1932, the Museum has been dedicated to preserving the material and written history of Santa Barbara, adding new objects each year to deepen and expand that story.

Santa Barbara Museum of Art

As part of the international Giacomelli 100 centennial celebration, the Santa Barbara Museum of Art presents Mario Giacomelli: La Gente, La Terra, offering an exclusive U.S. look at the work of the celebrated Italian photographer (1925–2000). Featuring 36 photographs, taken between 1955 and 1980, the exhibition highlights Giacomelli’s innovative darkroom techniques and his psychologically intense depictions of the people and landscapes of Italy’s Marche region.

Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History | Sprague Pavilion

As part of the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History’s two-part January program, acclaimed Zapotec-American textile artist Porfirio Gutiérrez leads an immersive weekend workshop focused on the ancestral art of natural dyeing. Set within the Museum’s oak woodland landscape along Mission Creek, this hands-on experience invites participants to learn traditional cochineal dye techniques rooted in Zapotec knowledge and practice.

This fall, visitors can experience two major exhibitions showcasing Impressionist and 19th-century art at the Santa Barbara Museum of Art. The Impressionist Revolution: Monet to Matisse from the Dallas Museum of Art traces the origins of the Impressionist movement through works by Monet, van Gogh, Gauguin, Matisse, Morisot, and others who helped shape modern art. 

Lion's Tale

Don’t let the Monday blues get you down! Lion’s Tale, a Good Lion Hospitality owned bar, is going to be hosting Vinyl Vices partnering with Proper Productions every Monday from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Along with this, there will be All Day Happy Hour, so take your time and get down to these old-school classics and modern R&B mixes. Featured menu items include Pimm’s Cup ($11), with Pimm’s, London Dry gin, cucumber, ginger, lemon and a touch of absinthe, or dig into fan favorites like the Café Frites ($14) with shoestring fries served with café de Paris butter sauce, fresh parsley and filet mignon bites.

Lobero Theatre

Experience an electrifying evening of Latin jazz as GRAMMY® Award–winning bandleader, conguero, and percussionist Poncho Sanchez takes the stage at the Lobero Theatre. For more than four decades, Sanchez has blended straightahead jazz with gritty soul and infectious Afro-Cuban and Latin rhythms, carrying forward the legacy of legends like Mongo Santamaria, Tito Puente, and Cal Tjader.

A master collaborator and torchbearer of Latin jazz tradition, Sanchez recently released his 31st recording, Live at The Belly Up Tavern, captured in March 2025. This performance is presented as a Brubeck Circle show.
