On this fun food walking tour, guests will explore some of the city’s off the beaten path eateries and shops. This three hour tour starts just off of State Street, a few blocks from the beach, and ends in Santa Barbara’s Funk Zone, a funky industrial area that is home to art galleries, around 20 local wineries, gourmet restaurants, and even a local brewery and distillery.

3. The Davey's Voice Film Festival

The 1st Annual Davey’s Voice Film Festival is an evening of family-friendly, animal-related films celebrating the bond between human and animal. The short films are selected from hundreds of local and international submissions to include moving and joyful films to ensure a balance of films that entertain as well as educate. The Festival Honorees and main beneficiaries of this year’s event include Paws Up 4 Pets a collaboration between local nonprofit Davey’s Voice and CARE 4 PAWS to promote compassion and accountability for animals to school-age children, and Social Compassion in Legislation, a non-profit organization that has been sponsoring landmark legislation since 2007.


2. Studio Sunday on the Front Steps

Visitors of all ages are welcome to participate in this hands-on workshop with SBMA Teaching Artists on the Museum’s front steps. On the second Sunday of each month, participants explore a different medium, including clay, metal, ink, wood, photography, and paper. All projects are inspired by works of art in the Museum’s permanent collection or special exhibitions. Participants also receive free passes for entrance to the museum.

On Sunday, January 14th, the Granada Theatre shows Capulina Chisme Caliente, on its 4K high-definition screen at 3 PM! Starring Gaspar Henaine, Capulina Chisme Caliente tells the story of Capulina, a telephone company employee, who eavesdrops on conversations. Due to his gossiping ways, he becomes an informant for a local journalist and gets involved with a newspaper. Unfortunately for him, several of the paper’s blackmailing rivals begin to look for the source of information. Capulina assists with handling the rivals and wins the love of the publisher’s beautiful daughter.
