1. Summer Solstice Parade

The largest art event of its kind that is being celebrated in Santa Barbara County is back! This year, Santa Barbara will be hosting it's annual Summer Solstice celebrations on the coming weekend of June 22nd through 24th. The festival now opens on June 22nd, Friday afternoon and will commemorate "evening events of years past". It is a special evening showcasing local talents with music, dance, and other performances. Some of the parade ensembles are featured as well as the food booths and the arts and crafts vendors.


2. BLISSFUL BOUTIQUES MAKERS MARKET

When: June 23,  10:00AM - 6:00PM

An array of vendors come together to sell everything from baked goods to pieces of jewelry. Handwoven knitted sweaters, girls dresses, and crocheted items are just a few of the crafts that you can look forward to.  Jewelers who work with Ethiopian Opal Copper, Sterling Silver, Wire Wrap, Swarovski Stones, just to name a few, will also be there. Come and visit with the whole family!


3. SURFING LESSONS

When: June 23, 10:00AM - 2:30PM

Swim, catch waves and relax on the beach. Enjoy a perfect summer day in the ocean and let your instructor take care of all the details. Experts will be out there helping time surfers catching waves! A beach picnic will be served mid-day to feast on. Guests can stay and relax on the sand or grab a drink and food while recharging.

“Dreaming of Pirates!”, a swashbuckling circus spectacular is a story of a voyage of nonstop action and adventure that is guaranteed to give thrills and to enchant children of all ages. Lots of fantastic happenings in store for everyone. Flying trapeze artists, clowns, daredevils, death-defying acrobats, jugglers, contortionists, comedians, motorcycles and much, much, more!


 5. OLD SPANISH DAYS WALKING TOUR

When: June 23, 10:00AM - 11:00PM

The well-known historian,  Erin Graffy will lead a tour of public art in downtown Santa Barbara-based on her award-winning book, Old Spanish Days: Santa Barbara History Through Public Art. The walking tour will start at the Museum. It is recommended to reserve ahead and its a free entry for Museum members and Old Spanish Days volunteers, while it is $5 for Guests.


6. SEA CAVE KAYAKING

The SB Vacation Rentals, USPA Intra-Circuit Final will kick off this Sunday at the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club. The Sunday Polo main match will check in at precisely 2:30 pm at the Engel & Völkers Polo Stadium, with the Pony Parade, followed by the singing of the National Anthem, team introductions and then the ball will be thrown in at 3:00 pm. The event is open to the public and General Admission tickets start at $12. A variety of seating options includes Grandstand Seating and Luxury Cabanas.
