Free Summer Composition Workshop for Students with Ted Nash

Join Ted Nash, Grammy Award-winning musician, and composer, for a free summer workshop, inspired by works in the Museum’s exhibition “Summer Nocturne.” Class meets daily from Monday, July 2 through Saturday, July 7 (no class on July 4) at the Ridley-Tree Education Center at McCormick House. The workshop culminates in a performance at the Santa Barbara Museum of Art on July 7, featuring compositions created by Mr. Nash and the workshop attendees.


Music Academy of the West Festival Artists Series Presents Mozart Serenade

From 11 a. m. to 9 p.m. enjoy Independence Day activities along West Beach, including a wide array of food, a musical variety show, face painting, local vendors, live music by Tequila Mockingbird, and fun for all ages. End the day with a spectacular fireworks show and music at West Beach.

They say that the best things in life are free, and while watching movies in the cinema is always a great way to relax, nothing beats *free* Summer Outdoor movies at the Santa Barbara County Courthouse. Starting July 6th, UCSB Arts and Lectures will be hosting a series of movies in the Courthouse Sunken Gardens titled, ANIMATION SHOW OF SHOWS. Each Friday, bring the family and set up a blanket to watch a movie under the stars and in the heart of Downtown Santa Barbara. Tip: Claim your spot early by setting up a blanket starting at noon and make a day out of it!

The Beach Cleanups are a wonderful way for families, businesses, and groups to volunteer together. Cleanups are on the 2nd Sunday of the Month from 10 am to 12 pm.

30th Annual Santa Barbara French Festival
